What is the difference between fully managed and unmanaged VPS? For example; Hostdime VPS solutions are fully managed. Burst.net is cheaper than Hostdime but unmanaged.
Hello Web Hosting Insider Team,
I would like advice on what are the basic tools to promote a newly launched website. Are there golden rules? I think a lot of people will write on social media, that’s natural too, but I’d be interested in more detail as well.
Maybe someone has experience with Facebook advertising?
Hi, I have a website related to SEO topic but because it is new so it has no much web traffic. So because I need some good flow of traffic to my site so I am thinking to buy some backlink building services to enhance my website traffic. My question is " is paid link building services have worth and should buy or not?
I guess this was bound to happen but the way this has been done well....
------------------ Hello,
We are writing to you to let you know about important changes to owned licenses. Today we are discontinuing owned license support. What this means for you and your existing owned license is as follows: ° Your WHMCS owned license will continue to function as it does today. You may continue to run your WHMCS installation using the owned license for as long as you would like. ° You will not be able to purchase or renew support for your owned WHMCS license, effective immediately. ° If you have an active support agreement with WHMCS for your owned license, we will continue to honor that support agreement until its expiration. If you do not have support for your WHMCS owned license, and you require product support or you would like to upgrade to a current version, you will need to upgrade to our standard license model. You can obtain a standard license by logging into the WHMCS customer portal (https://www.whmcs.com/members).
Keep innovating, building, developing, designing, and hosting, and know that we continue to make investments to improve everyone's WHMCS experience.
If you require assistance with our standard license model and what license is best suited for you, we are here to help. You can contact Customer Service by opening a ticket at https://www.whmcs.com/submit-a-ticket
In 2008 when I entered into the web hosting world, it was all about the unlimited alpha or super alpha plans, etc (fun times and never a dull moment). Aside from the obvious wanting their account to be online 100 percent of the time, what else is being desired in a reseller plan in 2021?
Hello! Given the new buzz word "cloud" is thrown around a lot, there needs to be some sort of resource that can educate and be referred to by users seeking cloud hosting.
How should you compare cloud hosting providers? What makes one cloud host better than another? Is it important to know whom they use for their cloud 'backbone'? How secure is your data? Is the cloud only a small group of computers or an actual commercial cloud?
Can anyone please share some tips, plus information on how to evaluate and best determine which cloud host is best to their needs? e.g. The right questions to ask and how to evaluate a provider's service?
Hi, I hope this forum is best for my question, I assume that shared/reseller hosting don't support "pip" command in Python, Then my question is, what's my options for server that support Python with pip command and install packages?
Huge amounts of our sales leads are now for Chia miners.
They use massive cpu (and therefore power) to plot very large hard drives.
They always want an SSD (this improves plotting speed). They will burn out your SSDs. Every 1gb of HDD space "plotted" will require 15gb of writes to your SSDs.
When Chia crashes, this "demand" will disappear, leaving you with burnt out SSDs, large hard drives you don't need, and large power commitments without a customer to pay for them.
If you entertain these sales at all, make sure to use SSD with high endurance (3 drive writes per day rated or higher). Make sure to charge a setup fee.
Right now, a storage server that might be worth $1000/mo can bring in $1000/day in Chia. This is making people go bonkers.
I check my site with Google PageSpeed Insights. I am checking during the middle of night when there is almost no traffic so I know there is no effect of server load. At least from my site. I see big difference from test to test. Even between mobile and desktop in single test. Score goes from 35 to 90 so I know web site is optimized for SEO since I get 90. I know Google ads and other scripts can cause problems but I postpone adsbygoogle.js load and I have plugins for async load.I use Wordpress.
What would be good tool to check server response and server metrics?
