Those willing to contribute their practise in the event of downtime (e.g., hardware failure, software corruption, etc.) could you share the post here?
What are your next steps and contingency plans now that you've found the problem and want to get the service back up and running as quickly as possible?
Because I do not operate my own server, my only alternative is to find a new provider.
I recently began hosting a website with a well-known provider, for which I paid a one-year hosting fee. I had an issue one day and phoned cust.-care. What surprised me was that, while counselling me on a solution, the guy began naming my files, which are even invisible to ftp!!!
Even though I tried to hide my surprise, I am nonetheless taken aback. I had also requested him to "check if my script is within the file" while we were conversing.
Is it typical for our files to be viewed by hosting providers? Are there alternatives?
So far I've found dediserve and linode. Problem is, dediserve ($50) fully managed - linode ($100) fully managed + normal cloud fees. Does anyone know any reasonably priced providers for a fully managed service?
I would like to know the process and cost of a vps Provider. which cloud / cluster services they bought and which technology they applied and a cluster divided into multiple instances of windows / Linux. few days ago I bought a Windows vps for testing my project, i am required this vps on region based, a provider arranged as per my requirement, I would like to know this process. Is anyone describe me in detail please.
I think they bought cluster or something else, but i am not sure whats actually happening.
I want to move my website to a new host. I just found that I could use both nameservers of my old and new host until dns propagation is complete. I only have 2 nameserver entries available that are pointing to my current host. How do i minimize the downtime when transferring to a new host.
Recently, I see most startups use the domain name .IO to represent their product/business. Any particular reasons or is it just that they couldn't acquire .COM domain name which is one of the oldest TLD?
